About Me:

Dr.D’Pankar Banerji started as a consultant gynecologist after graduating from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh with an MBBS and MS in Gynecology in 1989. Since then, he has been interested in infertility and maternal and fetal health. This led him to start working as an infertility specialist in 1992. He began his private practice in reproductive endocrinology and infertility when he established Ideal Fertility IVF Centre in 1996. He has successfully treated hundreds of infertile couples. Dr. Banerji specializes in recurrent pregnancy loss, endometriosis, menstrual disorders and related reproductive health concerns. He also takes a keen interest on prenatal care and is very well versed in medical genetics and genetic disorders. He regularly conducts first and second trimester genetic scans and prenatal testing (NT Scan, Aneuploidy Screening, Target scan, 3D and 4D Sonography, prenatal diagnosis of single gene disorders, amniocentsis and chorion biopsy for confirmatory diagnosis in positive double/triple marker screening test for genetic disorders, non-invasive prenatal test (cff DNA ) and chromosomal microarray, chromosomal analysis for RIF by Leica Cytovision software) on high risk patients for both maternal and fetal care. He has established October 31 as World Fetus Day, a day dedicated to the health and wellbeing of the unborn child. Around this day every year a one-day conference called FetusCon is held which invites delegates and speakers from all over the country to discuss advances in Fetal Medicine. He constantly strives for excellence in the field and is planning on expanding the setup toward preimplantation genetic testing to fight debilitating genetic disorders. He is a member of the Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecological Society of India (FOGSI), Indian Society Assisted Reproduction (ISAR), European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), International Society of Prenatal Diagnosis (ISPD), International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG) and a life member of Indian Society of Gynecological Endoscopy.
